My name is Deborah Feigenson and I teach 6th grade Language Arts at CESJDS.

I grew up in the beautiful state of Maryland, home of the world's greatest basketball team (the Maryland Terrapins) and neighbor to Washington DC. I moved to New York City two years ago to earn a Masters at Teachers College, in Manhattan. Previously, I taught government and politics in Washington DC and before that, I taught drama, clowning, and puppetry to elementary school children.

 

I'm excited to be back at JDS for another fantastic year in the 6th grade. I'm looking forward to building a learning community with my classes as we discuss thrilling books in literature circles, recreate the Greek Forum, and learn to name the world through poetry.
